Andy Chavez is a current graduate student in the College of Communications at California State University, Fullerton, due to graduate December 2021. In addition to that she is a multimedia artist whose work focuses on constantly exploring and appreciating the intricacies in everyday life. She attended Concordia University Irvine where she was awarded the Brommer Scholarship Award and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Art in 2016.
Themes that Chavez has explored in her communications study include the joining of arts and education for the purpose of meaningful outreach. This spans into the realm of authentic and strategic use of social media as well. Recent academic research focuses are on healthcare advertising and authenticity on social media. She has recently finished working with a nonprofit for the purpose of recruiting volunteers via a strategic outreach plan, and looks forward to future opportunities post-graduation.
